On May 8, on the occasion of the upcoming 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Siri Fort Auditorium in New Delhi hosted a concert by the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Navy organized with the support of the Russian Embassy in India and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.

DCM & Minister Counsellor of the Russian diplomatic mission Roman Babushkin addressed the guests of the evening with welcoming remarks.

The programme of the performance included wartime songs and Russian folk compositions, including those on the marine theme. The bright decoration of the concert was the Ensemble’s lively dance numbers.

The event was attended by representatives of Indian military, political, business, public and academic circles, scientific and cultural community, diplomatic corps, media, and Russian compatriots.
