On June 2, DCM & Minister Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in India Roman Babushkin addressed the opening of a thematic photo exhibition at the Russian Trade Representation in India dedicated to the Day of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
The core of the exposition was a photo chronicle of the EAEU’s formation starting from the signing of its Treaty on May 29, 2014.
☝ In his remarks, Roman Babushkin underscored that over this time the EAEU had proven to be a successful project of regional integration and become an independent and self-sufficient centre of an emerging multipolar world. The diplomat also highlighted the need for an early conclusion of an FTA agreement between the EAEU and India, which will contribute to increasing trade turnover, expanding mutual access to markets and removing trade barriers.
Among other speakers at the event were Russian Trade Representative in India Andrey Sobolev, Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India Elena Remizova, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Indian Branch of VTB Bank Dmitry Sotnikov.
The exhibition was attended by representatives of the embassies of the EAEU Member States, Indian relevant ministries and government agencies, trade organizations and export councils, as well as the media.
