IATO’s 40th Annual Convention in Puri Set to Host Union Tourism Minister and Senior Officials Across India

The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) is all set to host its prestigious 40th Annual Convention in Puri, Odisha, from 22nd to 25th August 2025, bringing together the top stakeholders from the Indian tourism sector.

In the lead-up to the event, IATO office bearers met with Union Tourism Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in June 2025, extending a formal invitation to the convention. The Hon’ble Minister expressed his full support and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to boosting inbound tourism in India. His participation at the event has been confirmed, adding significant weight to this milestone gathering.

Strengthening the convention’s national presence, Odisha’s Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister, Hon’ble Ms. Pravati Parida, has also accepted the invitation and assured complete support from the Odisha Tourism Department and OTDC, including facilitation of temple visits and accommodations for the attending delegates.

The convention is expected to see participation from 1,000 to 1,200 delegates, including:

Senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism (Government of India)

Principal Secretaries, Directors, and Managing Directors of tourism departments from various Indian states

Leading tour operators, industry professionals, and travel media.

With such high-level involvement, the 40th IATO Annual Convention is poised to be a cornerstone event for India’s tourism industry, reinforcing collaborative efforts between central and state governments, and the private sector attending as Media Partners and Media Delegates from India
